A mixed breed dog is a mixture of two or more breeds. They come in all shapes and sizes and are some of the most beautiful dogs in the world.

Some mixed breeds are crossbred purposely by humans but most are accidental. Examples of human crossbred dogs are the Cockapoo and Labradoodle. Mixed breeds are not recognized by kennel clubs but make some of the best family pets you will find.

There are mixed breed dog organizations allowing mixed breed dogs to compete in different competitions. They have shown to excel in obedience, frisbee, flyball and agility competitions.
