They are muscular, compact and well defined. Their coat is wiry and harsh, black, red, black and tan, black and red or reddish-brown. Known to be emotionally sensetive they have a strong desire to be with their master. They are alert and interested in their surroundings. They are not well suited as a family pet, especially with small children because they tend to bond with one human more than others.
