Often described as looking like a lamb because it has non-shedding fur with a wooly texture. Standing 16 inches tall and weighing 22 to 24 pounds they are considered a small dog. They may have a blue, sandy or liver coat that pales as they get older.

Known for doing whatever is asked of them including fighting to the death in dog fighting contests or chasing down a badger or fox with great speed. They can be argumentative when they are not up to a certain task.

They require weekly grooming to keep their coats in good shape. They also need daily exercise because they are a high energy dog.
